Thiruvananthapuram: India Meteorological Department forecasted rainfall in different locations of Kerala. Hence, a yellow alert has been declared in the districts Alappuzha, Idukki, Kottayam and Ernakulam.

The department has predicted isolated heavy rainfalls in these districts, which indicates 64.5 millimetres to 115.5 millimetres of rain within 24 hours.

The IMD informed that no restrictions have been announced for fishing on the coasts of Kerala, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
