Cyclonic formation over Bay of Bengal; heavy rain in Kerala till May 7

Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cyclone formation in the Bay of Bengal on Monday (May 8).

As part of this, Kerala would witness heavy rain accompanied by thunder till May 7.

Meanwhile, a cyclonic system is likely to form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal by Saturday (May 6, 2023). It will strengthen into a low-pressure area on Sunday and likely to form into a cyclone by Monday.
