Nedumkandam: A verbal battle is ensuing between CPM district secretary CV Varghese and MLA Dean Kuriakose in Idukki. Varghese said that after the next election, Dean would be forced to flee from the place. Though Dean seems to be handsome, he is literally blind and has done nothing for the development of Idukki, said Varghese.

The CPM district secretary was inaugurating the AKG, EMS memorial programme and tenth martyr day anniversary of Nedumkandam Aneesh Rajan. Earlier, Dean Kuriakose had called Varghese a ‘ruffian’. Varghese, in his speech said that he would turn a ruffian to protect his party workers.

While speaking at the ceremony, Varghese added that Aneesh Rajan had died during an attempt to save the Tamil descendents of the district. District committee member NK Gopinathan presided over the meeting.
