Guruvayur: The idol purification ceremony (bimba shudhi) at Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple will be held on Monday and Tuesday. The rituals will begin after the ‘deeparadhana’ on Monday.
The devotees will not be allowed to enter the shrine during the idol purification ceremony. They can pray from outside the ‘nalambalam’.
The ‘abhisheka’ of ‘Shuddhikalasam’ will be performed following ‘Sheeveli’ on Tuesday morning. Other rituals with 25 ‘Kalasam’ will be carried out during ‘Uchapooja’.
The ceremony will proceed under the supervision of Tantri Chennas Dinesan Namboothiripad.
