Thiruvananthapuram: Outreach camps will be organised in all panchayats through parenting clinics as part of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme from December. The camps will be held on Saturdays from 2 pm to 5 pm.
The camps will be organised in one panchayat each Saturday. Health Minister Veena George said that the services of a clinical psychologist, nutritionist and career guidance specialist will be arranged by coordinating with panchayat authorities.
The details about the camp will be informed to the interested parents via Anganwadi workers and members of local body institutions. Awareness classes will also be organised.
The parenting camps are being organised after finding that hostility and other mental distresses in children are due to a lack of proper parenting.
