IAS officials submit complaint against Jacob Thomas
Thiruvananthapuram: A section of IAS officers on Thursday met the Chief Secretary with the complaint that the unilateral actions taken by Vigilance Director Jacob Thomas are adversely affecting their morale.
Though the officers had approached the Chief Minister with this complaint, they did not receive a favourable response from him.
The actions taken by the Vigilance are affecting our morale. Jacob Thomas' unilateral decisions have created an unconducive working environment. Many actions are taken without even conducting preliminary examination, the officials informed the Chief Secretary.
The incident comes close on the heels of the Vigilance conducting an inspection at the residence of additional chief secretary K M Abraham in connection with an allegation of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Meanwhile, the Vigilance has come up with the explanation that it has not conducted an inspection at KM Abraham's residence and it had merely taken the measurement of the building.
