Kozhikode: Condoling the demise of MP Veerendra Kumar, former Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan stated that he really doubts if he ever had a better friend than Veerendra Kumar in his life. 'We had a friendship of over 50 years. We used to talk about everything with each other. He always behaved very lovingly,' remembered Sankaranarayanan.
While remembering Veerendra Kumar, Sankaranarayanan turned emotional. "I used to meet him whenever going to Kozhikode and Wayanad. It is a huge loss for me and I never had a greater loss in my life. Though we had disagreements, it did not affect our friendship," he said.
"When I was the Governor, he used to come to me while visiting Maharashtra. Only we know what we talk to each other. We used to talk about everything. God may not give the blessing he gave to Veerendra Kumar to behave well to all," Sankaranarayanan remembered.
