I am a congressman till my last breath, says KV Thomas

Kannur: Senior Congress leader KV Thomas said he would remain a Congressman till his last breath. He added that he would hold a meeting with KPCC President K Sudhakaran if the situation arises.

KV Thomas told Mathrubhumi News in Kannur that Congress is a way of life and does not need a position.

"I did not reach Kannur to attend the CPM state congress but only to take part in the National Seminar," he said. Everything that is happening right now can wait until till I attend the seminar. The party has a history and a procedure in which things are handled, he added.

His response came as the KPCC was preparing to take action against KV Thomas for attending the seminar. Further, Congress leaders were irked after CPM workers received KV Thomas at Kannur airport wearing a red shawl.
