Pathanamthitta: Pathanamthitta DCC general secretary accused of hurling stones and rotten eggs at Congress March has been suspended from the party pending enquiry.
The person suspended is MC Sheereef, who is also a ward councilor under Pathanamthitta Municipality.
The apparent move comes based on KPCC president K Sudhakaran's direction to take stringent action.
The person committed a ‘serious violation of party discipline’ that can taint the party's reputation in public, said an insider.
The alleged incident happened on Friday during Hath se Hath Jodo Yathra.
