Hunger strike protest: Shafi Parambil, Sabarinathan to be shifted to hospital


The hunger strike by the MLAs had entered the 9th day on Monday. The MLAs are likely to be shifted to the hospital by the evening.

Thiruvananthapuram: Doctors have directed to shift Congress MLAs Shafi Parambil and K. S. Sabarinathan, who have been staging a hunger protest against the backdoor appointments of the government, to the hospital.

The doctors directed to shift the MLAs to the hospital after their health condition deteriorated further on Monday. The doctors who examined the two MLAs on Monday noon said that their blood glucose levels have fallen critically low. The MLAs are likely to be shifted to the hospital by Monday evening.

The hunger strike by the MLAs had entered the 9th day on Monday. The other day, doctors had advised to shift the MLAs to a hospital but the duo decided to continue with the protest.
