Human sacrifice: Surendran accuses CPM link, demands probe on involvement of terrorist outfits

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala BJP chief K Surendran has targeted CPM in the wake of suspected human sacrifice in Pathanamthitta's Elanthoor. According to K Surendran, the main accused Bhagaval Singh has links with CPM.

“As per the local reports received, the accused earlier worked for CPM and the person presently has the responsibility of Karshaka Sangham,” he said.

Surendran also demanded the regime to probe on the involvement of religious and terrorist outfits.

“The incident has no parallels in Kerala and is a stains on the state," he added.

On Tuesday, police said that a Pathanamthitta couple along with a middleman killed two women for economic prosperity. The accused are Bhagaval Singh, wife Laila and middleman Shafi alias Rasheed.
