Forensic officials visit Elanthoor house as Shafi recreates crime scene

Elanthoor: A team of officials headed by chief of Kottayam Medical College forensic wing Dr Liza John visited the crime scene of the Elanthoor human sacrifice case.

The visit happened as part of evidence collection in the case. It is learnt that the accused recreated the crime scenes in the room of the house in which the alleged crime happened.

The officials had a dummy session and the first accused Mohammed Shafi showed the way in which the two women were slaughtered. He explained and detailed the act to forensic surgeon and police, said reports. The householder and second accused Bhagval Singh too was present.

The forensic chief noted the observations and based on that a report will be submitted. This report will determine the future course in the case.

Meanwhile, during the evidence collection, the officials were not able to find the missing parts of the deceased Padmam. However, the remains of the rope used to kill the victims was found by the officials. Sources said Shafi remains uncooperative and his replies to questions are just smiles.
