Pathanamthitta: Police informed that accused Shafi received lakhs from Laila and Bhagaval Singh for kidnapping the two women and conducting human sacrifice from the couple’s residence in Elanthoor. Over Rs 10 lakh was handed over to Shafi in various circumstances.
Police have commenced a probe over the bank details of Shafi. Further information regarding the financial transactions will be received after police get the accused under custody.
Besides financial fraud, Shafi had sexual aberrations also, informed the police. The investigating team reported that he had indulged in physical relationship with Laila in the presence of her husband, all in the guise of a ritual of black magic.
Shafi had abducted Padmam and Rosly to conduct human sacrifice for the couple. Rosly was kidnapped after alluring her of a role in cinema.
