Human Rights Commission registers case on complaint regarding flat construction in Wadakkanchery


A total of 140 families are planning to be moved to the flats. The construction works are progressing in a way that may endanger the lives of these people.

Wadakkanchery: The Human Rights Commission has charged a case on the basis of a complaint filed by MLA Anil Akkara regarding the irregularities in the Life Mission project. It has been pointed out in the complaint that the quality standards were not followed while constructing the flats and the use of metal and cement were inaccurate.

A total of 140 families will be moved to the flats. The construction works are progressing in a way that may endanger the lives of these people. So, the MLA requested in the complaint that the Human Rights Commission should intervene in the matter.

Also it has been requested in the complaint to appoint an expert committee to inspect the construction of the flats and examine if the rules are violated and standards followed. With this, the Human Rights Commission registered a case in connection with the issue.
