Kozhikode: A tweet by Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which followed the refusal of the Centre to accept an alleged offer of Rs 700 crore from UAE to help flood-hit Kerala, has gone viral. The tweet is about two types of rulers. He wrote that when some of the rulers work for the welfare of the people, others stick on to laws and make the life of people tough.
He concluded the second tweet by stating that states and governments can succeed only if the first type of rulers outnumber the second type.
There were differences in the stand of the state and Central government regarding the acceptance of the contribution of UAE. People and groups on social media are sharing this tweet by linking it with the Kerala floods and Central decision to reject UAE’s offer.
