Pathanamthitta: The collector has declared a holiday for all educational institutions in the district for Tuesday. However, scheduled university examinations will not be postponed.
Educational institutions in Kottayam, Changanassery and Vaikom taluks and institutions where relief camps are set up in Kottayam district will also remain closed on Tuesday. However, scheduled examinations will not be postponed.
The rain will get stronger, as per IMD predictions. Heavy rain is expected in all districts except Kasaragod on Tuesday.
A yellow alert has been sounded in 13 districts on Wednesday excluding Wayanad.
On Thursday, all districts except Malappuram have yellow alerts.
The disaster management authority has asked the people in hilly areas to stay alert.
