Kalpetta:Wayanad District Collector has announced holiday for all educational institutions, including professional colleges, in Wayanad district on Monday(11.7.2022).
Meantime, holiday has been declared for educational institutions in Kasaragod district on Monday. However, this will not apply to all colleges including professional colleges in the district.
The holiday was announced in the wake of heavy rain recorded in the districts on Sunday.
The IMD further said widespread rain was likely in the southern state over the next five days with very heavy rains predicted on July 10, 13 and 14.
According to the state disaster management authority, between July 3 to 7, six people lost their lives in rain-related incidents across Kerala and several homes were damaged.
