Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Friday granted conditional bail to PC George. He is asked not to make communal statements again.

It may be noted that George was arrested in Kochi on Wednesday after a Thiruvananthapuram court cancelled the bail stating that he violated the bail condition, which was similar to the one set by the High Court.

Currently, he is charged under various sections of IPC for disturbing communal harmony in two cases registered in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.

George had arrived at the Palarivattom police station on Wednesday for questioning in the controversial speech at Vennala in Kochi. Police, after quizzing him, registered his arrest. Later, Fort police from Thiruvananthapuram reached Kochi and took him to the state capital after arresting him in the case registered there.

The Thiruvananthapuram Judicial First Class Magistrate Court had earlier cancelled his bail over the case over his speech at Ananthapuri Hindu Mahasabha ‘Mahasammelan'.
