Thrissur: Pavaratty police while questioning a history-sheeter in many theft cases have posed with a bizarre, but startling claim.Police nabbed the accused Vadanappally native Suhail in a similar theft case.
During the interrogation, he claimed that he was hired by a Palakkad man named Shameer to “topple her wife’s business establishment” for which he stole many items from there, said a cop.
Shameer (32) who was a prisoner got acquainted with Suhail in jail.
The man hired Suhail to plunge his wife’s company. After getting released from jail, Suhail set out to fulfil his friend's commands. He had stolen a computer hard disk, laptop, mobile phone and pen drives from the commercial establishment run by Shameer's wife.
Though there was a police complaint over the theft, the officials were not able to nab the culprit.
Meanwhile, Suhail had been living a lavish life by selling stolen goods.
He revealed the involvement of the woman's husband in the crime during the interrogation. Police nabbed him for stealing mobile phones and other items from a school at Chittattukkara. The court has remanded him in judicial custody.
