Hell ride for passengers of Yeshwanthpur Express
Palakkad: It was a bad journey for the passengers in Yeshwanthpur Express. They struggled in the train as passengers who have to travel in three bogies were forced to travel in one bogie. The lights and fan turned off whenever the driver slammed on the brake. On Tuesday, Passengers in the general compartment of the train from Mangalore to Yeshwanthpur had the horrific experience.
The passengers suffered as Railway replaced general compartments with LHB compartments. The passengers of the train were mostly Malayalees who work in Bangalore.
According to Railway, the compartments were reduced due to a signal problem.
Passengers complained that when the train reached Kannur, the lights in general compartment turned off. When the train reached Shoranur, the fans and lights were on but suddenly went off after starting from the station.
