Thiruvananthapuram: India Meteorological Department warned of heavy rain in various parts of Kerala till Thursday. A yellow alert has been issued for many districts in the state.
National Disaster Response Force is directed to continue caution in the hilly regions.
IMD has predicted stormy weather with wind speed reaching 45-55 kilometres per hour likely to prevail along and off the coasts of Kerala and Lakshadweep till Wednesday and Karnataka coasts until Friday. The wind speed may even intensify up to 65 kmph on the coasts. Coasts are likely to witness high waves in the upcoming days.
