Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department has forecasted isolated heavy rainfall in the state on Sunday. As per the alert, heavy rains accompanied by lightning are likely to continue in the state till Thursday.

IMD sounded a yellow alert in three districts including Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Wayanad on Sunday.

Rainfall ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm is expected to lash in these districts.

As per the IMD alert, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Malappuram will receive isolated rains accompanied by thunder in the next 3 hours. Gusty winds speed reaching 40 kmph is likely at one or two places over these districts.
