Heavy rains likely in Kerala: yellow alert in 10 districts on Monday

Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted heavy rains in many parts of the state for the next five days. As per the IMD alert, heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning will lash isolated places in the state till October 20.

IMD has sounded yellow alert in various districts for the next five days. A yellow alert is sounded in the districts where heavy rainfall ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm is expected.

Fishermen are advised not to venture into the Lakshadweep coast due to bad weather.
