Heavy rains likely in Kerala till Oct 13, IMD sounds yellow alert in 4 districts

Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rains accompanied by lightning are likely to lash the state from October 9 (Sunday) to October 13 (Thursday), forecasted India Metrological Department. IMD has sounded a yellow alert in various districts on Sunday and Monday.

Yellow alert is sounded in Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts on Sunday. Meanwhile, Idukki and Wayanad are placed under yellow alert on Monday.

As per the IMD alert, heavy rainfall ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm is expected in isolated places across the state.
