Kochi: Low-lying areas in Ernakulam district have been flooded following the heavy rains on Tuesday. The railway has imposed restrictions on the operation of several trains as waterlogging damaged the signal system. KSRTC has informed that more bus services will be operated due to the disruption of train services in the state.
KSRTC will operate services according to the rush of passengers. Apart from the present services, more services have been included for the online reservation. Passengers can reserve their seats through 'Ente KSRTC' app.
Cancelled or diverted trains
- Kannur Executive Express cancelled its service between Alappuzha and Edappally.
- Train No 16308 Kannur-Alappuzha Executive express concluded its service at Edappally.
- Train No 16307 Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express will depart from Edappally.
- Train No 06769 Ernakulam-Kollam MEMU Express via Kottayam will depart from Tripunithara. The service of this train is partially halted between Ernakulam junction and Tripunithura.
- Train No 12081 Kannur-Thiruvananthapuram Jan Shatabdi Express and Train No 17230 Secunderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Sabari trains which are diverted via Alappuzha will have stops at Cherthala, Alappuzha and Ambalappuzha.
- Train No 17230 Secunderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Sabari Express will resume its service via Kottayam as waterlogging receded.
