Kochi: Heavy rain and wind caused widespread damage in Angamaly here on Tuesday. A teak fell on a running car. However, both passengers escaped unhurt.
Electricity was disrupted as posts were toppled in the wind. Road transportation also came to a standstill at several places. A large advertisement board was levelled on the national highway near Angamaly St Joseph school.
KSEB has started work to reinstate the connections.
