The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority warned that those living in landslide-prone areas, river banks and coastal areas should stay alert as heavy rain and gusty wind are predicted.

Thriuvananthapuram: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in the state. Heavy rain gauging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm is predicted in isolated places within 24 hours.

As part of precaution, a yellow alert has been sounded in Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod, Wayanad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Ernakulam districts.

July 20 - Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki
