Heavy rain likely in Kerala; yellow alert in 7 districts on Sunday


People dwelling in landslide-prone areas and river banks are asked to stay alert.

Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rain is predicted in the state on Sunday. A yellow alert was sounded in 7 districts. As gusty wind is likely, the fisherfolk are warned not to venture into the sea.

It is predicted that rainfall gauging 64.5-115.5 millimeter will occur in isolated places. People dwelling in landslide-prone areas and river banks are asked to stay alert.

June 7: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki
June 8: Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki
June 9: Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad
June 10: Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram
