Palakkad: A house collapsed in heavy rains killing a man here near Pokkuppadi in Ongallur here. The deceased was identified as Pokkuppadi native Moideen aka Maanu (70).
Other family members who were inside the house suffered injuries. The accident happened early on Friday around 3 am. The body of the deceased is kept at a private hospital in Pattambi.
Several accidents have been reported from different parts of Kerala due to the heavy rainfall. A car met with an accident near Iritty government guest house in Kannur due to landslide. No one was injured in the accident.
