Malappuram: Minister KT Jaleel stated that each vote for the LDF in Local Self Government Poll will be a show of support by people to the government that protected them from poverty. He also said that if the allegations raised by the opposition and media are true, he would have remained locked up inside jail.
“The heavy polling is indicative of the public’s decision to vote for the LDF. Even those who did not vote for a long time have stepped out to vote. They know that they received several benefits in the form of welfare schemes and food kits. The public is looking at the polls as an opportunity to support the government. The increase in polling numbers shows that.”
The nexus with Welfare Party will cost Muslim League a lot. The Sunni faction which have been loyal to Muslim League in the past do not approve of this alliance. The result of this alliance will be clear once the results come out, he stated.
