Health inspector who molested woman seeking COVID-19 negative certificate in TVM arrested


The complainant, who was working as a home nurse in Malappuram, was placed under quarantine at her home at Kallara in Thiruvananthapuram.

Vellarada (Thiruvananthapuram): A health inspector who molested a woman, who approached him seeking a COVID negative certificate after her quarantine period ended, was arrested here.

The arrested has been identified as Pradeep, a health inspector at Bharathannoor PHC. A woman from Kalluvetti in Kulathupuzha had filed the complaint against him the other day.

The incident occurred on September 3. The complainant, who was working as a home nurse in Malappuram, was placed under quarantine at her home at Kallara here. After completing the quarantine period, she approached the health inspector for obtaining a COVID negative certificate.

As per the complaint, the health inspector asked the woman to visit his residence for the certificate and molested her there. The woman reached her friend’s house at Kathipara the other day and lodged a complaint with the Vellarada police.
