Kochi: Kerala High Court here on Friday criticised the trade unions for continuing the protest over the delay in salary distribution. The court warned that it would revoke the order directing KSRTC to pay salaries to its employees if the trade unions continue to hold the protest.
Justice Devan Ramachandran said that the court has the power to remove KSRTC CMD if he is found guilty.
Court viewed that continuing with demonstration won't guarantee salary to the employees. The government must intervene to guarantee salary to the KSRTC staff. Holding protests that disrupt the operation of KSRTC cannot be tolerated, the court said.
Criticising the protests staged by CITU, the court pointed out that it won't hear their petition if the protest was not called-off. Following this, CITU called off a demonstration in front of the KSRTC chief office.
