HC upholds EC’s decision granting ‘two leaves’ symbol to Jose K Mani, rejects Joseph’s plea
Kochi: Kerala Congress (M) Jose K Mani faction has regained the right to use ‘ two leaves’ as the symbol of their party in the polls. The Kerala High Court has issued an order regarding this upholding the decision of the Election Commission of India.
Allotting the ‘two leaves’ symbol to Jose K Mani faction, the court rejected PJ Joseph’s petition seeking claim on the party symbol.
Earlier, the Election Commission of India had issued an order allotting the party name ‘Kerala Congress (M)’ and ‘ two leaves’ symbol to Jose K Mani faction. But questioning this order, PJ Joseph approached the HC.
