Kochi: The Kerala High Court has ordered a ban on political strikes in educational institutions.
The court also ordered the police to ensure that hunger strikes and picketing does not happen at institutions.
The students coming to colleges for political works should stop their studies at the institutions. Also the institution head can expel the students participating in political strikes.
The court also asked officials concerned to ensure the smooth working of the educational institutions eliminating all such political activities.
The order was issued while considering a petition challenging campus politics. The verdict was given by the bench consisting of the Chief Justice last Friday.
