Muttil tree felling case: Probe team arrested all three accused, govt informs HC

Kochi: In the controversial Muttil tree felling case, the state government informed the High Court that the probe team arrested all three accused. Roji Augustine, Anto Augustine and Josukutty Augustine were arrested over the case.

According to reports, a police team led by Tirur DySP nabbed the three from Mini Pamba in Kuttipuram. The trio will be taken to Aluva police club.

A Crime Branch team followed the accused from Aluva. Though the officials blocked the trio at Paliyekkara, they managed to escape from the spot.

The mother of the accused breathed her last on Wednesday morning.

Following this, they approached the High Court seeking 10 days’ time to surrender before the police.

When the court was considering their plea, the government revealed about their arrest.The government also informed the court that the accused will be allowed to attend the funeral of their mother.
