HC permits nine-yr-old for Sabarimala darshan
Kochi: The Kerala High Court eased the restrictions of Covid protocol and permitted a nine-year-old girl to visit the Sabarimala shrine and seek darshan.
A Division bench comprising Justice P B Sureshkumar and Justice K Babu gave approval to Vaikkom native Abhiraj's daughter Nandita Raj to visit Sabarimala on Saturday.
The HC directed the officials not to prevent the girl, who will be reaching the temple along with her father, from entering the temple and seek darshan.
The booking for Sabarimala darshan is done virtually as the Covid protocol is in place. Those below 10 years of age will not be allowed to book darshan through virtual queue system and the court intervened on this.
