HC dismisses Kerala govt’s plea against leasing out TVM airport to Adani group
Kochi: The Kerala High Court, on Monday, dismissed all petitions including the one filed by the state government challenging the Centre’s decision to lease out operations of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to Adani Enterprises Ltd.
HC observed that the privatization of the airport is a policy decision of the central government.
In the petition filed, the state government had said that Centre’s decision was not in public interest and that the state government has rights over the land and is entitled to preferential consideration over Adani group.
7 more petitions were filed in HC in this regard in which some had favoured the central government decision.
