MLA and Former Minority Welfare minister KT Jaleel on Sunday asked the Muslim League to stay away from “fishing in the muddy waters” on the minority scholarship row.

The government opted for the best solution. Muslim community will continue to get the same number of scholarships. Can anyone show a better solution, Jaleel asked in his Facebook post.

Muslim League should not pour fuel on the fire under the influence of Jamaat-e-Islami, he added.

The UPA government had not developed any project exclusively for the Muslim communities based on the Sachar committee report. When CH Muhammed Koya introduced scholarships for Muslim girls, he added Nadar community too as a beneficiary, Jaleel claimed.
