Thiruvananthapuram: The state-wide hartal organised by the Popular Front of India (PFI) on Friday continues to remain violent, with several KSRTC buses attacked and employees injured due to stone pelting in various parts of Kerala.

In several areas, the windshields of KSRTC buses were destroyed in stone pelting, forcing KSRTC to halt services in several places.

In a post shared on Facebook, KSRTC appealed to the protesters not to show their outrage towards the public transport system in Kerala.

No hartals in its virtue will be successful by vandalising KSRTC buses, the post reads.

Meanwhile, a KSRTC driver suffered injuries to the eye as a result of stone pelting near Kozhikode Civil Station. Services were halted in various parts of the state as violence continues to disrupt public life.
