Thiruvananthapuram: Police have intensified the search for the person who sexually harassed a girl at Kowdiar here. On Monday, the probe team handed over the CCTV footage of the incident to the forensic department.
The footage was sent for detailed examination as the accused’s face is not clear in it.
According to the complaint, the incident took place in November. It is alleged that the accused had groped two girls while they were walking near the Kowdiar Pandit colony. Police started a probe into the matter after receiving a complaint.
Police did not receive much information from the CCTV footage of the incident. Later, they got the bike number of the accused. But the probe team found that a fake number plate was used on the bike.
According to the police, the accused had attacked several women in different parts of Thiruvananthapuram town while roaming on the bike.
CCTV footage showed that the accused had groped a woman last year in Peroorkada and later, he flashed at a woman at the medical college premises.
