New Delhi: Kerala has three embarkation points for hajj pilgrimage this year. National Haj Committee chairman AP Abdullakutty said that the Kozhikode and Kannur airports will also be included along with Kochi airport in the list of hajj embarkation points.

The total number of embarkation points in the country have been increased from 10 to 25 this year. If necessary, the hajj committee has decided to consider more airports after acquiring the approvals from the Saudi government and the respective ministries in India.

No application fee will be incurred from the hajj applicants this year. Earlier, the application fee was Rs 300. The processing fee will be charged from only applicants who are selected for the pilgrimage.

The Kerala Hajj Committee offices will issue the application forms soon. The forms will also be available on the website and mobile application of the hajj committee.
