Thiruvananthapuram: The gunman of UAE Consulate attaché was found with a cut wrist on Friday afternoon near a house in Akkulam. Policeman at the AR Camp, Jaigosh was found to have attempted suicide and was shifted to hospital.
His relatives had lodged a complaint with the Thumba police that he was missing since Thursday.
Karimanal native Jaigosh who was staying at Vattiyoorkavu along with wife and children, had shifted them to family house in Karimanal on Thursday evening. He also had returned his service pistol at the Vattiyoorkavu station. His mobile phone was switched off since then.
NIA had found that Swapna Suresh, the accused in the diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case, had called up Jaigosh on the day of seizure.
Search for him had begun Thursday night.
