Kozhikode: In an unfortunate incident, a guest worker died in Karaparambu here on Thursday after a concrete slab collapsed and fell over him.
The incident took place around 12.30 pm. The deceased has been identified as a native of Odisha. The accident took place during the demolition of a shop, adjoining a house.
As per reports, three labourers, including the deceased, were present there at the time of the mishap. The person from Odisha was critically injured.
He was taken out from the debris and rushed to Kozhikode Medical College. However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
