Govt will not tolerate corruption, Opposition trying to sabotage welfare schemes: Pinarayi Vijayan
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that the government does not have any moral responsibility over the private transactions of M Sivasankar.
The opposition is trying to slam the actions of the officer on the government. There is no need to declare war on the government using Sivasankar, he said.
There is nothing in connection with the case to blame the government. Sivasankar was suspended from service as soon as it was found that he had a connection with the accused in the gold smuggling case.
Sivasankar was not appointed based on the party’s recommendation, said the Chief Minister while adding that he did not know Sivasankar before this government was elected to power.
Pinarayi Vijayan also criticized the UDF government by saying that he did not place his conscience in the place of the court. The government believes that the Investigation should proceed independently.
The government will not tolerate any kind of corruption. The opposition is trying to sabotage the welfare schemes of the government by making baseless allegations, he stated.
