Govt using religious text to cover up corruption: P. K. Kunhalikutty
Malappuram: Muslim League leader P. K. Kunhalikutty said that the Kerala government was using religious texts to cover up corruption.
Kunhalikutty said that the government should respond to the corruption allegation. He wated to know the problem in importing the religious texts in the right way.
“The allegations are regarding the accused bringing many items through the diplomatic channel. The present allegation is regarding palm dates being brought through the diplomatic channel. The people want to know if they had brought anything else through diplomatic channel. Its natural for them to inquire about it,” he said.
Stating that a large amount of dates were brought, Kunhalikutty asked if the dates had real seeds inside them. Kunhalikutty said that the government should respond to corruption allegations rather than diverting the discussions in a way which will affect others.
