Govt seeks special court in actress attack case
Kochi: The Kerala Government filed an affidavit in support of the actress in the attack case. The government requested the court for a female judge and a special court for hearing the case as per the demand of the actress.
Earlier, the principal sessions court had rejected the plea of the actress with this demand. The actress decided to move the High Court afterwards. The Principal Sessions Court rejected the plea mentioning some reasons in the governance. There is no female judge in Ernakulam district. For the same reason, the court commented it cannot give permission for a female judge. The actress had approached the HC with a plea showing that the case is strictly personal.
The court will consider Dileep’s plea seeking CBI probe into the case today. The government’s stand on his demand was that he was trying to delay the case and the accused doesn’t have the right to make decisions about the investigation.
