Alappuzha: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has come out with a warning against aided schools in Kerala.
Speaking at a function here on Sunday, the CM said that the government was ready to take aided schools for lease if necessary.
“Some schools have the habit of showing an inflated number of students in their documents. We cannot turn a blind eye towards such wrongdoers. The school managers must remember that none of the suggestions put forward by them can frighten the government,” Pinarayi Vijayan said.
“Even though the suggestion to the government to take aided schools for lease was an intimidation tactic, I am taking it seriously. Are the school managers ready to go down that road? We can discuss it,” Pinarayi Vijayan asked challenging the school managers.
“The government is paying all the teachers, so what’s the big deal in paying a small amount as rent?” the CM wondered.
Pinarayi Vijayan was speaking regarding the budget suggestion of controlling the appointment of teachers in aided schools.
