Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has intervened to end the protest of PSC Last Grade rank holders.
The CM has appointed Law Minister A. K. Balan to hold talks with the protesters. The reconciliation talks may happen on Friday itself. The protesters responded that they are expecting a favourable decision from the government.
The decisions taken in the meeting between the protesters and Home Department additional secretary T. K. Jose and ADGP Manoj Abraham on Saturday were issued as an order the other day. However, the rank holders are continuing the protest stating that the order was issued without providing any guarantee to solve the issues raised by them.
In the order, the government said that its policy was to take action in its capabilities to ensure maximum appointments.
However, Laya Rajesh, representative of the PSC rank holders said that the government had released its response and that the protest will continue until the demands are met.
