Govt probe into Rs 100 crore missing from KSRTC: AK Saseendran
Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has decided to initiate a probe into the missing of Rs 100 crore which was granted to KSRTC.
Earlier, KSRTC MD Biju Prabhakar IAS had revealed that the auditing department’s findings on Rs 100 crore missing from the accounts of KSRTC. The government will appoint an agency to investigate the irregularities including the missing funds.
Transport Minister AK Saseendaran has informed about the plan to probe the irregularities in KSRTC.
"In the primary investigation, we have found serious irregularities including the missing of Rs 100 crore in KSRTC. The internal inspection wing of KSRTC has carried out the investigation. Based on the probe, actions including transfer and suspension were taken against those who were involved in the irregularities. Though the actions were taken, the government has decided to initiate a detailed probe into the irregularities in KSRTC,” informed the minister.
Minister AK Saseendran asserted that the government is also considering a vigilance probe into the same as evidence should be collected.
“The government wants to uncover the irregularities with an efficient probe. A decision on the mode of the probe will be taken soon,” he added.
