Balussery: BJP state president K Surendran on Wednesday stated that the government is only mulling dropping the cases related to protests against the implementation of Citizen Amendment Act.

Surendran was speaking to media after the cabinet meeting decided to drop cases related to CAA, Sabarimala women entry protests excluding criminal cases.

Even the violation of IPC 144 is registered as criminal case. How can, the cases registered for international-level conspiracy against India and the protests in Sabarimala, be considered at same level, he asked.

If CAA cases are dropped, all cases registered in the state should be dropped. The CAA protests were against the country. All cases registered in Sabarimala women entry protests should be dropped. We will not allow devotees to be discriminated, he added.
